The
Model DPC-BA & DPC-MA Detector Modules are complete detector
assemblies that contain a photon-counting photomultiplier tube in a
compact enclosure with C-mount threads for easy microscope mounting. The
Detector Module is designed for high-sensitivity photometry
detection. Light enters the Detector Module directly through a
C-mount adapter. The C-mount adapter may be directly coupled to a
microscope or attached to a fiber optic light guide. The light guide
provides maximum flexibility for interfacing the detector to a cuvette
assembly, a surface fluorescence probe or other custom user-specific
devices. The detector output can be coupled to the Model
DPC or PC-DAQ Controllers which reside in
your PC. Together with our FluorMeasureTM
software, the unit performs sensitive photon counting detection.
The
Model DPC-BA and DPC-MA Detector Modules can be purchased as part of a
complete fluorometer / photon-counting system or separately to serve as a
stand-alone detection system. They can also be added to fluorescence
imaging systems to provide a faster and more sensitive means of
fluorescence detection and quantitation. A calibrated iris is
included to adjust the input light level. The mount also includes a
threaded holder for 1" or 25mm optics or filters. Other mounts are
also available.
Connections
to the Detector Module are made from the back of the assembly. A BNC
connector provides TTL output pulses for easy interface to our Model
PC-DAQ controller or our Model
DPC Digital Photon Counting System. The Detector Module is
powered by a +5 Volt supply which is included.
