| We maintain
a supply of premium quality interference filters. This page lists
examples of some of the filters we maintain in stock. We work with
numerous optical and coating services, and if you are looking to purchase
an interference filter, please contact us. The filters used in our instruments are custom designed to our high standards and are not available elsewhere as "stock" items. These filters have very high wavelength specificity. Typical transmission in the out-of-band region is > 6 OD. If you are not familiar with the specifications of interference filters, you can read our tutorial. Filters There are two spectra shown for each filter, Percent Transmission vs. Wavelength and Optical Density vs. Wavelength. The percent transmission graph is useful to determine the center wavelength and the passband of the filter, while the Optical Density graph is much better at illustrating the transmission in the out-of-band regions. Note the these filters exhibit extensive light rejection in the out-of-band regions. This results is lower backgrounds in fluorescence measurements. Examine these characteristics carefully when comparing filters form one vendor to another. 340/15/0.5
