This product houses a motorized
filter wheel and provides a means for computer control of the excitation wavelength of
your microscope. It is show here connected between the lamp housing and the
epi-illumination optics of a Nikon Diaphot illuminator. With this inexpensive add-on
to your microscope, and with either the PC-DAQ or RS-DAQ Controller, you can quickly change the illumination
wavelength to make multiwavelength measurements without having to change or move the
dichroic cube. Either of these controllers can interface to a computer. In
addition, the RS-DAQ Controller allows you to control this filter
wheel assembly using either a keypad, TTL signals or via RS-232 commands.

If you have ever used similar devices
by other manufacturers, you'll appreciate the advanced design of the Model MFW-4.
You'll appreciate these key features:
- It only takes minutes to change an individual filter or a filter wheel.
- The motorized filter wheel is easily removed with one screw.
- There is no chance of accidentally misaligning the illumination system.
- You do not have to disconnect the lamp housing to change filters or the filter wheel.
- Our RS-DAQ Controller will
operate two filter wheels and two shutters, in addition to collecting fluorescence data
and analog data.
To change the filter wheel in the Model MFW, 4 thumb screws
are removed to open the assembly and one additional screw is removed, allowing you to lift
out the motor assembly. The filter wheel is self-aligning and there are no wires to
reconnect.
Features
- The Microscope Filter Wheel Assembly features an
easily removed and self-aligning filter wheel. The filter wheel can hold four one
inch diameter filters.
- Can be controlled with either the Model PC-DAQ or Model RS-DAQ Controller.
- Available with microscope-specific mounts or with
standard C-mount threads.
- Mounts are available to connect the Filter Wheel
Assembly to a light guide or fiber optic cable. This feature allows you to place
your microscope illuminator on the bench top to eliminate microscope vibration. Contact us for details.
